Associate Professor in an area of Infectious Disease
The Department of Biological Sciences at the University of Notre Dame invites applications at the Associate Professor level. The candidate should have a Ph.D. or equivalent and a demonstrated record of research and teaching accomplishments. He/she is expected to have an outstanding research program in the general area of infectious disease with a strong track record of publications and extramural funding. The candidate’s research should complement the infectious disease focus within the department and the College of Science. Individuals whose program has cross-disciplinary components are particularly encouraged to apply. The successful candidate will be expected to teach an undergraduate and a graduate course. The new faculty member will be part of the Center for Global Health and Infectious Diseases with opportunities for collaborations with other interdisciplinary Centers within the University, including the Keck Center for Transgene Research, and the Interdisciplinary Center for the Study of Biocomplexity. The Department also holds an NSF-IGERT training grant. Excellent cores including new genomics, imaging and BSL3 containment facilities are available.
