The active undergraduate program has many opportunities for students to get involved and gain research experience. Our NSF-REU Summer Internship Program accepts applications until February 1.
Every academic year, workshops are held to give students opportunity to share about internship experiences as well as learn about graduate school. Symposia are held every spring and fall.
The department also offers resources for students searching for a summer internship. In addition to the NSF-REU Summer Internship Program, there are also undergraduate openings with GLOBES and UNDERC. The College of Science and the University Undergraduate Research programs also provide summer internships. Please see our list of summer internships for 2011.
Our university regularly offers new opportunities for summer research, including an Alumni Mentor Internship Program as well as a Cold Spring Harbor Laboratory Program.
For current students interested in applying to graduate schools, view profiles of former Notre Dame students and learn about their application and admissions experiences (NetID and password required). Also availble now are Graduate School Resources and MD/PhD Resources.
