My research primarily focuses on understanding how tree health—particularly the impacts of heart rot—affects carbon-based greenhouse gas fluxes (CH4 and CO2) in northern hardwood forests. I aim to upscale the annual forest methane budget using field-based measurements combined with statistical modeling approaches.
