Torres-Dowdall Lab

Biography

I am currently a 3rd year PhD student in the Torres-Dowdall lab. I am currently focusing my dissertation research on adaptations to varying degrees of seasonality along the native range of mosquitofish. I am particularly interested in studying life history adaptations in mosquitofish, but recently have started to examine physiological responses to seasonality (including thermal tolerance) along their latitudinal gradient. I am also interested in understanding if outside of their native range, introduced populations of mosquitofish have evolved parallel life histories along parallel environmental axes.
