Biography
It is a wonder to uncover the natural complexities of human life at the cellular level. Especially regarding exposure to microbes, human health is contingent upon specific cellular interactions that are becoming better characterized by scientists every day. My previous research has surrounded the identification of mechanisms of cell death in keratinocytes and macrophages in response to diverse Group B. Streptococcus isolates. Through this work, I discovered my passion for the research area of cellular and infection microbiology. It is in my interest to continue to uncover these types of mechanisms to reveal the grander mosaic of life and contribute to biomedical advancements in research.
