Biography
My research interest is focused on ecosystem modeling of liana-tree interactions. Lianas are woody vines that are considered structural parasites that may lead to tree mortality due to mechanical stress and competition for resources. I am working on understanding liana and tree competition during drought and to incorporate environmental variability due to future climate change into the current results as well as using individual-based forest dynamic model to simulate liana and tree competition in the canopy area and host tree mortality.
