Lu Lab

Biography

My academic training began with a B.S at University of Notre Dame, where I gained a solid foundation in the principles of both biology and applied math. Through my undergraduate research experience in Dr. Xin Lu’s lab, I became fascinated by the complexity of cancer and the potential for interdisciplinary approaches to combat it. Now as third-year graduate student in Lu Lab, I am investigating the mechanisms of lineage plasticity in prostate cancer progression using a combination of experimental and computational approaches. I am devoted to an academic career in the field of cancer bioinformatics, using data mining and statistical methods to aid in the diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of cancer. I hope to leverage my knowledge and skills to make meaningful contributions to cancer research, ultimately helping to improve the lives of cancer patients worldwide.
