What can you do with your degree?

Students in the Department of Biological Sciences - Biological Sciences and Environmental Sciences majors - have a wide range of career options and postgraduate education opportunities after graduation. A majority of students continue their studies as competitive applicants to Medical, Graduate, or other Professional schools (e.g., Veterinary school). Beyond traditional paths, students consider careers in conservation, policy, law, science communication, and research industries like biotech and pharmaceuticals.

We encourage students to explore the myriad of post-baccalaureate opportunities available to our graduates. Resources like the American Institute of Biological Sciences and Ecology Project International help consolidate research opportunities, career advice, and career opportunities.

But don’t just take it from us, see what former students and undergraduate researchers are doing with their degree!
