Summer Research Opportunities

The College of Science sponsors more than 40 Notre Dame undergraduate students to engage in summer research each year. Students have the opportunity to continue projects in their labs from the academic year with financial support from the College of Science.

REU

Research Experience for Undergraduates (ND REU)

Our Research Experiences for Undergraduates (REU) Program, focused on Integrative Cellular and Molecular Biology, provides undergraduate biology majors across the country with full-time summer research in many areas of biology.


UNDERC

Environmental Research Center (UNDERC)

UNDERC furthers research and education in environmental studies at The University of Notre Dame by focusing activities on unique locations of high environmental quality in the North Central region and northern Rockies of North America.

National Science Foundation REU Programs

The National Science Foundation offers Research Experiences for Undergraduates (REU) Programs in many institutions across the U.S.  These programs are mostly for students who are graduate school bound, or unsure about their career goals but have a strong interest in research.
