Summer Research Opportunities

The College of Science sponsors more than 40 Notre Dame undergraduate students to engage in summer research each year. Students have the opportunity to continue projects in their labs from the academic year with financial support from the College of Science.

The Research Experiences for Undergraduates (REU)

The Research Experiences for Undergraduates (REU) program supports active research participation by undergraduate students in any of the areas of research funded by the National Science Foundation.

REU projects involve students in meaningful ways in ongoing research programs or in research projects specifically designed for the REU program.

Environmental Research Center (UNDERC)

UNDERC furthers research and education in environmental studies at The University of Notre Dame by focusing activities on unique locations of high environmental quality in the North Central region and northern Rockies of North America.
