Abigail Brunory (ND Biology Alumni) - Gap Year Session  

Abigail (Abby) is a recent 2020 College of Science graduate, where she majored in Biology and minored in Gender Studies. During her time on campus, she was very involved in the Biology Department, where she took part in Senior Leadership Committee, Uplift, and TAing for Dr. Whaley, Dr. Veselik, and Dr. Lamberti. She also conducted undergraduate research in Dr. Zhang's Lab for 3 years, where she studied mechanisms of breast-cancer brain metastasis. Her work in Dr. Zhang's Lab is what further inspired her to pursue a career in research. She is currently working as a Biologist at Eli Lilly & Co. in Indianapolis, but she hopes to attend graduate school in the next few years to pursue her PhD in either biochemistry or cell/molecular biology.
