Biography

The Lu lab specializes in cancer immunology, which explores the interactions between the immune system and cancer cells, with the end goal of better understanding immune responses against cancer and developing novel methods to enhance them. I am currently investigating the role of neutrophils (due to their high abundance in the immune cell population and various unique characteristics) in cancer metastasis and how they can be conditioned by their surrounding microenvironment into becoming either anti-tumor or pro-tumor agents.
