I earned my MPH in Infectious Disease Epidemiology from Columbia University and my BS in Zoology from Colorado State University. My research focuses on the eco-epidemiology and disease ecology of zoonotic diseases through a One Health framework, particularly the environmental and climatic factors shaping disease transmission among wildlife and human populations. Using statistical and programmatic modeling, I investigate the mechanisms of disease spread across natural landscapes. My previous work has examined how environmental, climatic, and socioeconomic factors influence vector-borne disease incidence; the role of protected tropical forests in promoting health; and the public health risks posed by the international wildlife trade.
