Research: I have been in the Rohr Lab since my sophomore year working on the Schistosomiasis project, which deals with the neglected disease in Africa.
Post-graduation plans: I plan to go to medical school following a gap year, potentially doing an MD/MPH program
Favorite Biology/ES course: Immunology with Dr. Schorey
Extracurriculars: Varsity Swimming, Early Childhood Development Center Volunteer, member of the student leadership team for the Klau Institute for Civil and Human Rights, and Center for Hospice Care Volunteer
Advice for First-Year Biology/ES majors: Talk to the people next to you! I’ve met some of my best friends in my biology classes, and they have been instrumental in my success. Having friends you can study with and laugh with is super important, and everyone in the biology classes is very welcoming.
Fun/interesting fact about yourself: I used to do national-level choir when I was younger
Favorite part about Notre Dame: The people! There are many schools with academic and athletic prestige, but the community within Notre Dame is simply unmatched.
