Wingert Lab
Biography
I am a graduate student in the Wingert lab, specializing in nephrogenesis research using zebrafish as a model organism. My primary research interest lies in understanding the mechanisms required for multiciliogenesis in the zebrafish nephron. This focus is driven by the occurrence of multiciliated cells (MCCs) in pathological conditions, such as polycystic kidney disease. By studying MCC development in the zebrafish nephron, I aspire to uncover new insights that could contribute to the understanding and potential treatment of kidney-related diseases, ultimately informing therapeutic strategies for these disorders.
