Advice for First-Year Biology/ES majors: As the semester starts to pick up and you get busier and busier, do not forget to sleep and eat! It is very tempting to skip lunch/dinner or stay up all night finishing assignments or studying for a test, but this is not beneficial for anybody in the long run. Make time in your schedule to include these VERY important biological needs because if you don’t take care of yourself first, you won’t be able to take care of your work!

Fun/interesting fact about yourself: When I was eleven, I drank so much Coca Cola on a trip to Spain that I collected enough bottle labels to earn a trip to a Looney Toons Theme Park.

Favorite part about Notre Dame: knowing that your professors, classmates, and advisors have your back and want you to succeed. Also, the fact that there is a Chipotle and a Trader Joe’s within walking distance.
