Biography

Tumor cells have been shown to release membrane-enclosed sacs known as Extracellular Vesicles (EVs), important regulators of cell-to-cell communication. EVs contain interesting cargoes, such as DNA, RNA, and Proteins. My project will focus on comparing the cargoes of these EVs in different tumor cell lines with those of whole cells, using proteomics and cellular biology approaches, and investigating the role of EVs in cell cycle progression.
