Gracie Hedgpeth

Biography

As a second-year PhD student in the Rohr lab, my research examines novel disease interventions and host-parasite interactions of one of the most vulnerable vertebrate taxa on the globe: amphibians. I also utilize my multidisciplinary background to examine unresolved questions about amphibian conservation through a new sociobiological lens, with a special emphasis on the socio-economic impacts of global, amphibian population decline. The teaching and research opportunities I have engaged in thus far in my academic career have solidified my ambition to continue working in academia. I hope to one day become a professor that instills within students the same love for education that the professors at OU and Notre Dame have instilled within me.
