Research: I used to work with Dr. Gursky, where we assisted with the Datta lab in the Engineering department. We focused on treatment resistance in glioblastoma cells, but she unfortunately left this summer.
Post-graduation plans: Optometry school after a gap year of working in an optometry clinic near home
Favorite Biology/ES course: Genetics with Dr. Hyde
Extracurriculars: TA with Mrs. West (Organic Chemistry Lab) Notre Dame Ceílí Band (as a dancer), Notre Dame Liturgical Choir
Advice for First-Year Biology/ES majors: Get to know the people you sit by in your classes and form study groups! Also, don’t be afraid to talk to your professors, especially the Biology professors. :)
Fun/interesting fact about yourself: I competed in a dance competition in Ireland this summer.
Favorite part about Notre Dame: My favorite parts are the community, Notre Dame football and hockey, and Notre Dame Ceili Band!
