Biography
My research centers on the complex relationship between the gut microbiome and the host. I focus specifically on how the gastric protein gastrokine-1 shapes the gut microbiome and, as a result, regulates inflammation in the gastrointestinal tract. My hope is for this research to contribute to the broader understanding of Inflammatory Bowel Disease and other inflammation-driven conditions, with the overarching goal of improving patient quality of life.
