Biography

Perkins Lab

I earned my Ph.D. in Probability and Statistics from the Center for Research in Mathematics, A.C. (CIMAT) in Guanajuato, Mexico, under the supervision of Dr. L. Leticia Ramírez-Ramírez. My doctoral research focused on the mathematical and statistical modeling of epidemics through dynamical systems, with an emphasis on multi-patch meta-population-based deterministic and stochastic compartmental epidemic models incorporating population mobility. During my time at CIMAT, I also served as a Teaching Assistant for a course in Epidemiological Modeling. In March 2024, I joined the Perkins Lab, where my research centers on mathematical and statistical modeling of infectious and vector-borne diseases. My work particularly focuses on optimal control strategies and cost-effectiveness analyses of spatial repellents for malaria control in Sub-Saharan Africa.
