I completed my DVM at Cornell University and after practicing large animal medicine I decided to pursue a career in studying infectious disease. In my PhD I focused on host traits that influence schistosome transmission in their intermediate snail hosts, as well as the role of the greater ecological community feeding back on host-parasite dynamics. My current project focuses on better modeling co-circulating respiratory pathogens by considering their potential interactions at multiple scales.
