Biography

I am interested in using process-based terrestrial biosphere models like ED2 to study ecological processes, particularly plant hydraulics under different environmental conditions. I approach plant hydraulics through fundamental laws: Ohm’s, Fick’s, Darcy’s, and Hagen-Poiseuille’s, which help describe the continuous flow of water from roots to leaves. My research involves data from the free-air CO2 enrichment (FACE) experiment in the Duke Forest and fieldwork at the University of Notre Dame Environmental Research Center (UNDERC), where I have received the UNDERC fellowship for three consecutive years.
