I am an IBMS student co-mentored by Patty and Matt Champion. My research focuses on using a combination of genetic tools and mass spectrometry based proteomics to study how mycobacterial pathogens export virulence factors via the ESX-1 secretion system. I am most interested in understanding how bacteria use molecular tools to respond to and interact with their environment.
