Biography

Doctoral Candidate in the Department of Biological Sciences at the University of Notre Dame. Extensive experience in clinical psychological research with a focus on minority populations. I am researching zebrafish development with a focus on the APOL1 gene in podocyte formation. The APOL1 gene is linked to increased risk for kidney disease and failure in African and African American populations. My research aims to understand APOL1 molecular function in the human body, which can be used for novel treatments and drug therapies.
