May 2023, Lu Lab had lunch together to celebrate the graduation of several undergraduate students and welcome new members to join the lab!
October 2022, Lab had thrilled fun together in Niles Scream Park, and dressed for Halloween.
July 2022, lab outing at Silver Beach and a nearby bowling alley. Despite the rain and unexpected early ending, the lab still had a lot of fun!
Nov 2021, lab and friends had a Christmas party at Dr. Lu’s home. Lots of food, gifts and games!
October 2021, Our graduate student Sean Murphy won silver medal on a regional jiu-jitsu contest to support cancer research through the Tap Cancer Out BJJ Open. Congratulations, Sean! Your contribution to cancer awareness and raising fund for cancer research is much appreciated!
August 2021, Lab outing at Warren Dunes State Park. Everyone enjoyed the BBQ, beach, volleyball play, dune climbing, and sea-like water of Lake Michigan.
August 2021, Lab says goodbye to our talented and wonderful postdoc fellow Tianhe Huang. Tianhe’s 3 years at Lu Lab has been nothing short of spectacular productivity, amazing resilience and cherished friendship. We also wish Tianhe’s best for his exciting career as an oncologist in a premier cancer center. Tianhe, we will see you reach the star high!
July 2020, Members of Lu lab had a lot of fun in our canoe/kayak activity at Ferrettie/Baugo Creek County Park, South Bend. We also enjoyed Chinese food while practicing social distancing. We also sent our farewell and best wishes to Meidan for her next academic stage after graduation. Last but not least, we hosted a photo contest for the pictures taken from the outing event and the two winners, Xuechun and Miaomiao, received customized photo-printed mugs as prizes! The outing put some smile on everyone’s face in this unsettling time of COVID-19 pandemic. We all hope it will return to normalcy soon!
